The TUM ForTe international research funding team is the first point of contact for TUM scientists with European and international project proposals.
Do you have a project idea? Are you looking for a suitable call for proposals? Working in close cooperation with the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR), we give you one-on-one advice on European and international funding instruments (assembling the consortium, drafting your proposal, describing TUM’s complementary services, etc.) and consult with you on strategic issues. We help you to systematically address the specific research and innovation policy aims of individual research instruments.
In our regularly issued newsletter (TUM-user name required) on research funding, you’ll find information on current calls for proposals and funding opportunities at TUM as well as information on national, European and international research programs. The newsletter also contains information on interesting events.
Information and Networking
We hold regular informational events on current calls for proposals and funding programs locally here in Munich and Garching. TUM is also actively involved scientific policy discourse in the EU through the Joint Office of EuroTech Universities in Brussels. The office in Brussels provides direct access to a network of contacts and can advise on local contacts.
Individual consultation sessions for the 2020 call ERC Starting Grant (deadline is expected on 16 October 2019) will take place on 11 and 12 September 2019. Applicants have the opportunity to discuss their draft proposals individually with experts from the NATIONAL CONTACT POINT ERC/KOWI. As the time slots are limited, they will be given on a first come - first serve basis. Please reserve a time slot via Email and we will contact you to arrange the precise time.
