Description: Science managers have become indispensable in universities and research institutions, as they perform important transfer work at the interface between science, administration, funding bodies, and the public. Science management offers attractive career prospects in the scientific environment for both career starters and those interested in changing careers from the academic field of universities and research institutions.
The information event will give you an overview of the diverse activities and tasks involved in this professional field in Germany and of the players in the German science system as potential employers. You will learn what knowledge and skills you ideally need to bring to a career in science management. You will also receive information about the training opportunities available to prepare you for entry into this still dynamic and evolving field of professional activity.

Registration: The series is open to all postdocs in the Munich area and we do not limit the number of participants. You can register until Tuesday noon before the respective Talk via the registration form and will receive the login data shortly before the talk. For this format, there is no selection process and you do not need to inform us if you are unable to participate.
