From Research to Spin-Off: Explore Opportunities
Postdoc Talk |
Date: April 22, 2026
Format: Online, 16:00-18:00
Description: Are you curious how a research idea—either your own or one from your research group—can grow into a spin-off or a business? In this workshop, you will get an overview of the different programs, advisory services, and opportunities that can support you on this path. Whether you have a first idea or you are actively looking for incubation and early-stage funding, we will show which offers are relevant at different stages of a research career and where to find events and communities that can help move your idea forward. At the end of the session, you will learn where to find upcoming events, formats, and further opportunities, and explore spin-off pathways at your own pace.
Objectives:
Following the session you will:
- Get an overview of the support ecosystem
- Know which offers and networks can support your first steps towards a spin-off.
- Find the right places to go for questions and follow-up workshops and formats
- Have the opportunity to get connected in our ecosystem to the contact person closest to entrepreneurship in your field
