Date: June 5, 2024
Format: Online via Zoom, 16:00 –18:00
Description: Biases make us human. Our world view is influenced by our own biases and thus, how we interact with each other, in our private lives, online and also at university. Why does this matter? Because it impacts the distribution of privileges and discrimination not only in society but also through algorithmic decision-making and Artificial Intelligence – and it affects the way we work in academia.
Contents
- Reasons for human biases and stereotyping
- Representations of certain privileges and discriminations in science
- Ramifications of your behavior and your work in your personal, scientific and digital space
