TUM Asia
TUM's Teaching Campus in Singapore
With TUM Asia, we bring TUM's excellent engineering education to Singapore. For over 20 years, we have been educating students, especially from Southeast Asia, in two Bachelor's and five Master's programs. We offer a very special combination of "German Engineering with Asian relevance". We cooperate with the best universities in Singapore and also offer pure TUM degree courses locally.
TUM Asia: Our 20-year success story of internationalization in Southeast Asia
The German Institute of Science and Technology - TUM Asia (TUM Asia) started its activities in Singapore in 2002 as a branch of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). As the first ever German academic enterprise overseas, TUM Asia is supported by the Singapore government through the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the German government through the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Through its pioneering collaboration with Singapore's leading universities, TUM has paved the way for the internationalization of German universities.
TUM professors from the TUM Asia Faculty regularly fly to Singapore to teach students on site. Our more than 20-year track record in Singapore has now produced more than 2,200 alumni of our degree programs at TUM Asia - and more than 600 students are currently enrolled in Singapore. Many of the highly qualified graduates are now working in leading research institutions and companies around the world.
Bachelor's programs at TUM Asia:
Since 2010, TUM Asia has been collaborating with Singapore's youngest university, the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Here, we offer two Bachelor of Engineering joint degree programs:
